Wow! Who would guess that only 7 months into a year and it feels like the year has gone to hell in a hand basket? A virulent virus, earthquakes in Idaho and Utah and word of killer hornets. Holy beeswax. I'm good to end this crappy sci-fi story anytime. Seriously. Last summer, to stay current . . .
Because there aren’t enough in the drawer.
There is this handy-dandy eating tool, known as a spork, that I believe everyone has encountered. It was possibly an accident like several things that make us happy (Post Its, bubble gum, etc.). However, it is clever. Eating mashed potatoes? No problem! Need to stab your salad with a utensil because . . .
Brrr . . .
I wanted to post last week but since we're all in the thick of the holidays, especially if you have children, i.e. PTO meetings regarding teacher presents, school Christmas programs, piano recitals, more PTO meetings, it's the time of year when you daydream about a warm, sunny place with white sandy . . .
The non-states
Before I left teaching to stay home full-time six years ago, there were some of we teachers on staff that were native Idahoans and a couple of teachers from Wyoming. We'd jokingly say we were from the "non-states", meaning that our two states could fall into the ocean (impossible, but stated to get . . .

Oh yes, there are not only adorable popsicle postage stamps but they're scratch-n-sniff! Oh joy! I bought not only one book of these rockin' stamps but two. I am so pumped to . . .
Teacher Appreciation Week is here!
This lanyard with my teacher photo i.d., is from 12 years ago when I was one of numerous staff members to open up another new school in the district where I taught. Those two black spots on the right side of my face aren't sudden freckles or moles; those spots are hard earned teensy Crayon pieces. . . .
The beauty of spring!
Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved spring for the smells of ditches being burned to get ready for carrying water to farm fields, blooming flowers, blooming trees, later sunsets and the off in the distance, the sounds of kids' baseball and softball games. Spring was also an exciting time . . .
