Little Red and Little Lady have been pestering me since last week about wanting to make cookies. Coming off of the heals of our school carnival, which any school function for the masses is a lot of work and then our state having in-service days (3) where the kids are home but the teachers are at meetings, I was playing catch up with pretty much everything in our house. Little Red was determined on getting some cookies made and left subtle hints around the house and in my car. See below:
One of two light switches with the gentle reminder.
On top of the toilet seat because who doesn’t think about cookies when using the loo?
The inside of the driver’s side sun visor of my car. Luckily, we live in a state with a good amount of sunshine!
My car radio/CD player.
Little Red’s got wheels that are always turning, that’s for sure. Ha, ha. Since we had a fairly relaxing weekend, the goal of making cookies was achieved and the last of the baked cookies, was ingested this afternoon. And since we live on the edge, plenty of cookie dough was scooped into bowls for the Littles to enjoy before placing the remainder of cookie goodness on a cookie sheet to be baked. Moral of this domestic tale? The squeaky wheel or in this case, the persistent child, does get the grease. Now off to sweep up cookie crumbs left by my small people!
