*this morning when Little Man was sporting an 80’s headband look with the fever having hit the road
Little Man had a slight fever the other night, followed by a fever yesterday and two more in the night. He was the final victim of the flu that Little Lady and Little Red had experienced earlier in the past week. Sleep was not happening for either of us (he was a human furnace), so I gave him some children’s ibuprofen as that helps reduce fevers. As I was closing the cabinet door in the bathroom, I remembered a box of cooling gel pads for fevers was in there. Well hello, dear friend. It’s been a while since I’ve seen you. Care to hang out on an adorable three year old’s forehead?
I don’t remember if I bought this handy little item at Walgreens, Walmart, Target or Fred Meyer but I did find it online at Walmart and at Amazon.com. It runs anywhere from a box of 4 for $2.73 at Walmart to 12 for $13.99 on Amazon.com.
The side with Mickey and Pluto, is soft, like flannel and the gel side, is nice and cool and easily adheres to a munchkin’s forehead once you pull off the plastic cover. The gel patch can last up to eight hours and can be placed on the neck, chest or the side of the head. This is definitely handy to have in the medicine cabinet and it worked for my Little Man! Oh how I’ve missed you, fever reducer. I’ve only got two other offspring that could have recently benefited from you, but next time. For sure, next time.
