I was at the grocery store the other day when I came across this rather interesting drink, Bragg’s Organic Apple Cider Vinegar All Natural Drink with the “mother”. What the heck is the “mother” you ask? Well, it’s the beneficial bacteria that turns apple cider into vinegar that has several health benefits for your gut, like a probiotic.
Little Red and I had run out of our probiotic and I hadn’t had the chance to get a new bottle of it because it’s purchased at a doctor’s office; it’s a fairly powerful probiotic that needs to be refrigerated. So anyway, I purchased two of the Concord Grape, one of the Ginger (I think Mister gulped this one down because it’s nowhere to be found) and one of the Apple Cider, thinking that it was worth a try.
That evening, after a day of enthusiastically keeping a three year old jazzed about a grocery store and nursery run, taking Little Red and Little Lady to piano and then, with the help of Mister, getting grub on the table, I sat back and enjoyed this Concord Grape vinegar drink. It was a bit vinegary but the grape flavor was stronger, which was rather handy. Also, knowing that this was good for me, I was able to consume it fairly easily. I wouldn’t serve this beverage up for a brunch or even a couple of friends that were up for the morning, but considering that there are health benefits and that it’s all natural, I’d say giddyup to this!
